Become A Sponsor
Forms
The Guild is always looking for additional support from new sponsors. Sponsorship is an inexpensive way to advertise to our membership of over 3000 active professional developers.
Sponsorship Levels
Meeting Host
A Meeting Host pays for the pizza and drinks at one of our monthly meetings. Our
average meeting attendance is 70 hungry developers. An arrangement with a national
pizza vendor gets that accomplished for around $400. In consideration, the Meeting
Host Company and representative are mentioned by name in our invitation which is
emailed to over 3000 active professional developers in the Charlotte area. The
logo of the Meeting Host Company is also included in our opening slide show which
runs from about 5:30 PM until after introductions and announcements at about 6:30
PM. Our meeting host is given the floor for five or ten minutes at the top of the
meeting. This provides an opportunity to introduce your company to the Charlotte
area professional software developers in attendance. Some of our hosts bring “giveaways”
like coffee mugs and golf shirts. If you choose to do that, you will be included
in the door prize festivities at the end of the meeting. We draw raffle tickets
for books, software, t-shirts, training coupons, sports tickets – in short,
just about anything, vendors and publishers may wish to provide to influence our
membership.
Premier Sponsor
A Premier Sponsor is an organization that wishes to sign up for Meeting Host duties
three or four times a year (once a quarter). We meet the fourth Tuesday of every
month, except December, so we can only accommodate three Premier Sponsors. In addition
to all the considerations accorded a Meeting Host, a Premier Sponsor gets a logo
and a link added to the Sponsor page on our web site (www.DevelopersGuild.org)
for the entire year.
Vendor Sponsor
Software vendors can become a Meeting Host or a Premier Sponsor. In addition, we
can publish white papers, discount offers or demo links on our web site. We are
selective in awarding this category of sponsorship as we seek to match vendors to
our membership, who are mostly software developers.
Special Sponsor
A special sponsor is a company that has provided special support to the Guild. Microsoft
is an obvious special sponsor as they provide speakers, training, software and extensive
support throughout the year. CPCC is another special sponsor for providing lab facilities
for our training events. A special sponsor is accorded permanent recognition on
our web site and is often mentioned in our meeting introductions.
